Namowrimo Winner

That's right! I won this year's Nanowrimo for the first time in my life. I'm so happy. I reached the goal of 50,000 words just now. The reason I haven't been posting daily updates is because of work and school as well as to focus on my novel. It's mostly a mess but I got the work done. I did said once I got the work done in two weeks. I finally completed the sequel to my Turnabout Slayers fanfic. The ending is shocking. I'll post the sequel later on Fanfiction.net. I'm so happy I'm done.

Feedback - Campus Sanctuary

So how do you like Saint Seiya Campus Sanctuary so far?

I know it's a bit too early but I need to know before I can proceed. I made the first episode in 4-koma form (4-panel comics in Japanese) to make it short and easy to absorb. If you seen Lucky Star or Azumanga Daioh, you get what I'm talking about. As you seen in episode 1, there were references to previous sagas. This is very important since Campus Sanctuary will be filled with references from both anime AND manga (although Campus Sanctuary will follow mostly the anime.) It's important to know the series before reading it because you'll be so lost if you're not. And I'm NOT going to include reference points so it's your job to know where these references come from. If you're watching Saint Seiya for the first time, start with the 114 episode anime series and the original 28 volume manga. Campus Sanctuary will also contain references to other anime and manga (before the 1990s) as well as 1980's pop culture. Campus Sanctuary will also refer to Kurumada's previous works (Ring no Kakero and Fuma no Kojiro specifically.) This fanfiction series takes place in the late 1980s so makes sense to refer to these events. There will be references to Japanese culture and school life as well. I might include illustrations in future episodes to "color up" the series. Starting the second episode and on wards, Campus Sanctuary will become spoiler heavy; that's why I hide it under the cut link. I hope you enjoy Campus Sanctuary as much as I do because I'm so looking forward to continue the series.

This series is also for those who like shows like Family Guy and Simpsons which includes parodies references to pop culture and to themselves.

[April 19xx]

[Bells ring. It's 5pm afternoon and classes end for the day. All the students march outside the school. The Bronze Saints exit also and as they exit, Saori appears.]

Saori - Good afternoon. I hope you enjoyed your first day of class. If that's the case, I will have the paperwork that enable you to stay a whole year.

[The Bronze Saints look at themselves in doubt. They want to stay but they also want to drop out. Now they must decide if they stay or they leave the campus for good.]

Saori - If you don't want to stay, then I simply must rearrange the paperwork. However, I want you to live the lives you deserve after fighting so many battles. But I cannot force you to attend this institution. If don't feel like attending, then...

Shun - I stay.

Seiya - What, Shun?

Shiryu - I stay also.

Hyoga - I know I don't want to be here but I stay also for other reasons.

Ikki - I stay too.

Saori - So, Seiya. Will you stay?

Seiya - No I can't! I have to see my sister.

Hyoga - Relax. You have all the time in the world.

Seiya - She's in the sanctuary.

Saori - Seiya, the sanctuary isn't going to disappear. Besides, she's in good hands. Just have patience and faith and she'll come and visit you.

Seiya - [Sighs] Alright I'll stay as long as she makes every effort to come.

Saori - Then it's settled. Let's go home. Tomorrow you have another day.

[Saori and the Bronze Saints enter the limo that will send them back to the mansion.]

[April 19xx]

[Recess. The Bronze Saints are in the school cafeteria eating ramen noodles.]

Hyoga - Thank goodness it's recess...

Shiryu - Are you serious, Seiya? You too?

Seiya - Yeah! Our homeroom teacher is identical to Aioria.

Ikki - I have the same issue with my homeroom teacher too.

Hyoga - So do we. Our teachers awfully look like the Gold Saints.

Seiya - It's unbelievable. The last thing expected is to believe that the teachers are actually Gold Saints in disguise.

Shun - Hey guys, I think we should stay and give the school another opportunity. If you think about it, it makes sense. Imagine: the statue of Athena, the name of the school, the principal, our teachers and even our classmates. It's all familiar.

Seiya - No, Shun. We stick to our plan: go to school, drop out. I'm not going to stay here a whole year wearing this and listening to some guy telling me what to do. People don't learn in school. Everything you learn, you forget. Our training had more meaning because we were training to become Saints. This school doesn't train you for nothing.

Hyoga - When Shun says it, it's kind of hard to reconsider.

Seiya - What are you talking about? The whole "go to school, drop out" is your idea.

Hyoga - Between the statue of Athena and our teachers, I consider this school isn't randomly created. You know, made up as another average school.

Ikki - He's right. The Gold Saints are long dead. Hades is defeated and so are the other gods. Time has passed and during that time, this school was built. Saori built this school with the idea that we must live our normal lives. I think the spirit of the Gold Saints are manifested in our teachers.

Shiryu - If that's the case, then we must stay here for a year and observe them (and the school) very closely.

Seiya - If this is about the 100 trainees Kido sent to train, then it can't be the case. This school has way more students than we expected to be.

Shiryu - Seiya, we're the last 10 Bronze Saints left so it doesn't make sense the other 90 would be here.

[Bell rings]

Hyoga - The bell is ringing...

Seiya - Recess is over. See you guys later after class.

[Recess ends and the Bronze Saints return to their classrooms.]

[April 19xx]

[Seiya and Shun enter their homeroom classroom, 1-C.]

Shun - So, Seiya, where should we sit?

Seiya - I don't know. But definitely not at the front nor at the end.

Shun - So then let's sit in the middle.

[Seiya and Shun decide to sit in the middle of the class.]

Seiya - Sitting in this chair is kinda weird...

[A female classmate approaches the boys with a smile on her face. She sees them as if they're familiar. Her hair is brown like Seiya's but lighter and her hair is cropped. Her eyes are big, wide and brown. She posses joyful looks. The boys notice her presence and she begins her introduction.]

Tomo - Hey are you, Seiya?

Seiya - How do you know my name?

Tomo - The Galactic Wars. You were fighting one of the Saints in your shiny Pegasus outfit. Then you smashed the other guy's hands and boom! You were set free.

Seiya - Oh... I remember now.

Tomo - Let me introduce you. [Bows] My name is Tomo. Nice to meet you.

Seiya - I'm Seiya.

Shun - My name is Shun.

Tomo - Ah yes! I remember you, Shun, from the Galactic Wars. You were Andromeda right? Aw man! I remember tons of fangirls screaming over you.

[Before the conversation could continue, the teacher enters the classroom, which demands students to return to their seats.]

Tomo - Teacher's in. Talk to you later.

Shun - Seiya, I can't help but that girl looks identical to you. Almost she can be your twin sister.

Seiya - Too bad for me she isn't. [Seiya turns his attention to the teacher upon standing on his desk.] Wait a sec? Aioria?

Shun - Oh my! It is Aioria! Except he wears eyeglasses like Saga... sorry I mean Sagato.

Akira - Alright let's go over the last homework... [Notices the new student's presence] That's right I forgot to introduce the new students. Ok class we have two new students. They're Seiya and Shun. Please stand you both.

[Seiya and Shun stand. The whole class gives their welcome.]

Akira - I am Akira, 1-C's homeroom teacher. I'll be your teacher for the whole year. I teach mythology. Right now we're focusing on astrology. I bet you're familiar with astrology since you have experience, right?

Seiya - Yep that's true.

Akira - Since this is the second week, I'll exempt you from the homework but you have an option to make it up. So just pay attention to the lectures so you can do your homework and pass the class. Alright you may sit down now.

[Seiya and Shun sit.]
